Soft crease across lower fore-tip of last three leaves, a few minor foxmarks, otherwise a very good copy, with the half-title. First edition of this early publication by the future cleric and classical scholar. Meen published this poem the year he earned his B.A. at Emmanuel College, Cambridge, and it is reported that he later disowned it. He served several appointments in at St. Paul's Cathedral and elsewhere, and was involved as editor or translator of a number of works by others, including Lycophron, Coluthus and Thomas Percy.
