About This Item
Hodder & Stoughton, 1924. 1st edition. Hardcover. Very good indeed in green silk moire cloth with bright gilt lettering and decoration, slightly faded spine, spine ends and corners lightly bumped, contemporary gift inscription to front endpaper, pages clean bar some very light occasional spotting, with 12 tipped-in colour plates by Kay Nielsen with captioned tissue guards, and 40 of his black-and-white illustrations throughout. The scarce original dustjacket, rubbed and without the spine, is loosely laid inside the front board. A nice, unusual copy.
