Doubleday and Co. Good+ in Good dust jacket. 1956. Hardcover. Good hardcover with tight binding and clean pages. Good dust jacket with moderate shelf wear to edges and corners of covers. Top of the dust jacket spine is missing. Dust jacket is protected in mylar. Dust jacket spine is faded but the title is still readable. Pages are starting to yellow with age. Back of the dust jacket is stained and warped with water damage. Back endpage is stained in the upper left corner. Last quarter of the book is stained in the top corner of the margin and leaf ends, but does not affect the text. ; 9.40 X 6.30 X 1.40 inches .
Synopsis
Bruce Catton was a journalist and historian of the American Civil War. He won a Pulitzer Prize for history in 1954 for A Stillness at Appomattox , his study of the final campaign of the war in Virginia. He died in 1978.
