Percy and Edwina are specimens of the rare anthropoid Hackenfeller's Ape and are lodged in the London Zoo when they engage the interests of biologist, Professor Darrelhyde. Written by Brigid Brophy, a British author, critic, and polemicist who was an influential campaigner for social reform. With decorations by Asgeir Scott, an English designer, illustrator, and artist. Includes the original Book Society Recommendation wrap around banner. In the original burgundy cloth binding. Externally, excellent. Original unclipped dust wrapper is also excellent. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with light scattered spotting and light age toning to the endpapers. Very Good Indeed
