First edition.Bound in the publisher's original cloth, with the original, unclipped dust wrapper. 'The Guy Marciano' tells the story of Rocco Francis Marchegiano, an American professional boxer who fought under the name Rocky Marciano. Rocky competed between the years 1947 and 1955, holding the world heavyweight championship from 1952 to 1956. To this day, Marciano remains the only heavyweight champion to end his career while still being undefeated. Written by Wilfrid Diamond, known for his works surrounding the field of boxing.Illustrated with eight photographs taken during Marciano's various boxing matches. Collated, complete. In the publisher's original cloth binding, with the original, unclipped dust wrapper. Dust wrapper has been taped to the paste downs. Externally, light bumping to the extremities. Dust wrapper has slight loss to the extremities and the odd tear, mainly to the rear board. Tape repair to the rear and extremities of the wrap. Rubbing and sunning to the spine of the wrap. Internally, firmly bound, with bright, clean pages. Light offsetting to the first few pages. Very Good
