About This Item
Viking Adult, 1970. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. A GREAT PRESENTATION COPY, signed and inscribed by Nadine Gordimer on front endpaper to fellow author and activist Denise Levertov: 'From Nadine With best wishes and good memories'. Also boldly signed in full and dated 1974 by Levertov on front free endpaper. First American edition, third printing (stated, 1970). A very good copy in jacket (jacket has minor wear to edges; binding has fading to edges and light reading wear). A wonderful association copy, linking two of the most prominent literary activists of their era (both were born in 1923, with some striking similarities in their backgrounds).
