Pantheon, 1973. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. 7x5x1. No statement of edition; 4to in full blue cloth with silver stamped illustration, unnumbered pages, illustrated by the author. Light toning along board edges; lightly rubbed dust jacket in new mylar cover. The mice become so involved in their Mardi Gras masquerade they forget it is all in fun.
Synopsis
LEO LIONNI wrote and illustrated more than 40 picture books, including four Caldecott Honor books—I nch by Inch, Swimmy, Frederick, and Alexander the Wind-Up Mouse. He died in 1999 at the age of 89.
