The 5th outing of Tommy Habmledon, of the British Secret Service. The time is just before World War II, and, Tommy Hambledon is masquerading as a famous inventor of explosives right under the noses of Nazi leaders. Tommy jumps in and out of one predicament after another. The third impression of a book 1st published in 1945. Softening and rubbing of the back strip edges with bumping of the book corners. A very noticeable cock of the spine, with stains to the front and rear panels. Sunning of the back strip. Age toning of the text block edges and paid edges with the occasional foxing spot to the text block edges. Offset tanning to the end pages. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. [8], 9 - 284 pages..
