A pocket edition of 'The Great Exemplar' by Irish poet and abolitionist Mary B Tuckey, who was a supporter of the Cork Ladies' Anti-Slavery Society. Nicely bound in publisher's green with pretty gilt decoration, all edges gilt, engraved frontispiece illustration complete with tissue guard. An attractive book which has been well cared for by its owners, the pages are crisp and clean, a few pencil marks to the end papers being the only blemish. A lovely little volume. Near Fine 1839
