New York: Bonanza Books, c.1961 New edition of book originally published by another publisher in 1957. Undated but probably 1960 or 61 as has 1961 gift inscription on flyleaf. Hardcover. Blue cloth with red cloth spine, and colour pictorial dustjacket. 374pp, 25 x 18cm. With b&w photos in the text throughout. Detailed history of 50 makes of American racing sports cars from 1900 to 1930, including the great races (such as New York to Paris, Indianapolis 500 and the Vanderbilt Cup) and with a chapter on Harry Stutz. A Good copy overall. The covers have some fading to spine; the main pages are clean with lightly browned edges but the endpapers have various old tape residues. The jacket also has some old tape residues to margins and flaps.
