Foreword by Adrian Quist, introduction by author and appendix  detailing Presidents, Venues and Dates of Australian Tennis Championships and winners of the various sections of the Championships. Illustrated end pages showing blue coloured illustrations of men and women in white, in various stages of tennis. The text is illustrated with numerous black and white photographs. Blue coloured boards with white coloured titles and illustration to the back strip. Colour photographic dustwrapper with yellow and black coloured titles to the front panel and yellow coloured titles to the back strip. Black-and-white photograph of author to the rear fold over panel. In this book the author traces the development of Grand Slam Australia, from its beginnings in 1905, to the time of writing of the book, where it has become a multimedia extravaganza. Softening of the back strip edges along with some rubbing. Rubbing of the book corners and lower book edges. Age toning of the text block edges. There is a arcing tear, measuring 1.5" to the lower back strip edge  please see photograph. Rubbing of the dustwrapper edges and panels with noticeable sunning of the back strip.
