About This Item
Philadelphia: J.B. Lippincott, 1944. Decorative Cloth. Very Good +/Very Good +. Munro Leaf. NICELY INSCRIBED BY MUNRO LEAF, WITH 2 DRAWINGS (ONE OF THE LITTLE GIRL "IRENE", NEXT TO HER NAME; THE OTHER OF A MOON-FACED LEAF HIMSELF, NEXT TO HIS NAME) on the front free endpaper. A clean, very well-preserved copy to boot of the 1944 stated 1st edition. Solid and VG+ (light indentation to the rear panel) in a crisp, price-intact ($1.00), VG+ dustjacket, with several very small closed tears and just a touch of light creasing and chipping along the panel edges and at the spine ends. Octavo, another triumph by the legendary illustrator of "The Story of Ferdinand"
