About This Item
Piccadilly: Chapman and Hall, 1875. Reprint . Hardcover. Fair/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. (viii), 260pp. This is an early reprint of the 1865 edition. Translated from the French by a Tertiary of the Order of Preachers. Ex-library, though exterior library treatments have cleaned up nicely. Several small bumps to extremities of volume, with a heavier bump to lower corner of back board. Volume admits to a number of worn through areas, including to corners of boards. Cloth at head and tail of spine is chipped. Additionally, some light wear and soiling and minor spotting to exterior. In addition to internal library treatments, 2 previous owners' names in ink to verso of front free endpaper. Minor spotting and unobtrusive pen and pencil to a small number of pages. Some splitting to paper over hinges, though text block remains square and binding is largely firm. Mild tanning to paper. Overall, a good, sound, user friendly copy
