Original cloth binding with minor sunning to the spine and minor rubbing to the extremities. Illustrated with a frontispiece, title vignette, and 261 in-text illustrations. Previous owners' name neatly on the front endpaper: John Cabbell Muirbank 1847. Pencil notations on the inside front cover. Minor foxing to a scattered minority of page edges, with the text remaining for the most part bright and clean. Second edition. Measures 7 5/8" x 4 7/16 (193mm x 111mm)..
