New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1931. Hardcover. Very Good/Poor. Volume one only! Hardcover with gilt stamped green cloth boards in dust jacket, 1931, folio, 464pp., illustrated in b&w. Book VG with rubbing to boards, handsome gilt titles and decoration to front board and spine, binding tight, text shows some foxing to endpapers and edges of text block, otherwise unmarked, with off-setting in gutter of last few pages. DJ poor, tattered and in pieces, missing 75% of spine below title, held together in protective mylar wrap. THIS LARGE, HEAVY BOOK WILL REQUIRE ADDITIONAL SHIPPING FEES.
