Large quarto, pp [10], 158. 24 colour plates by Byam Shaw, each with captioned tissue-guard, and line-drawings in text. Original blue cloth with navy titles and decoration to spine and figure motif to upper board. Spine sunned with minor wear at tips; edges rubbed with small bump to upper edge of lower board. Gift inscription in ink to ffep. Foxing throughout to text leaves, particularly to early and late leaves and textblock edge (though fortunately not the plates, which are printed on different paper). Single tissue guard creased. A Good copy with Near Fine plates. Reprint of the 1914 illustrated edition of love poems from the subcontinent, with exquisite plates.
