Original green cloth with blue lettering to the spine, in the dustwrapper illustrated by Mark Thomas. A fine copy, the binding tight and square, the contents clean without inscriptions or stamps. Loosely laid in is one of FForde's postcards, this one of an Egg Whisk ('The Actual Egg whisk'). In the equally fine, unclipped dustwrapper, correctly priced (£19.99) to the front flap. Synopsis

The Fourth Bear is a mystery/fantasy novel by Jasper Fforde published in July 2006. It is Jasper Fforde's sixth novel, and the second in the Nursery Crimes series (also known as the Jack Spratt series). It continues the story of Detective Inspector Jack Spratt from The Big Over Easy.
