This copy inscribed by Joseph Lean Gobeille to Elbert Hubbard and a note to Mr. Hubbard by Gobeille attached to front wrapper. Elbert Green Hubbard (1856 - 1915) was an American philosopher and writer. He founded Roycroft, an Arts and Crafts movement community in East Aurora, New York in 1895. This grew from his private press, the Roycroft Press. Hubbard established the Roycroft Printing Shop at his home in East Aurora.
