Leaves are a cream paper color. Heavily illustrated with black and white photographs and artifacts throughout. Dustjacket is in purple, gray and black color themes and contains multiple black and white photographs on the front and back covers. Contains biographical information on seven great actresses from the 1940's, specifically, Lauren Bacall, Susan Hayward, Ida Lupino, Virginia Mayo, Ann Sheridan, Esther Williams, and Jane Wyman. The book's dedication page honors Betty Grable.
