About This Item
London: Headline, 1994. First Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. This is a first printing of the book, with a complete number line. The interior is crisp and clean, showing no marks or wear. The text block has a slight wave, which seems to be part of the manufacturing process. The blue cloth covers are fresh, with next to no wear. The slver gilt lettering is still bright. The dust jacket is price-clipped, and has minor wear to the top of the spine. The jacket is now in a protective plastic cover. Synopsis: The seventh Mitchell and Markby mystery. While attending the Chelsea Flower Show, Meredith Mitchell and Chief Inspector Alan Markby bump into Markby's former wife. When her current husband has a sudden heart attack and dies, both Meredith and Markby feel compelled to offer their help. However, when what had seemed a simple heart-attack is identified as a murder, Markby and Meredith are pulled into the investigation against their wills.
