Original publisher's red cloth - embossed in black to the spine. A flat signed presentation copy by the author. The inscription to the front endpaper reads: 'To Mc Cleary The lady superior who graciously presides over my Belfast home (the Kensington Hotel Alexander Irvine August 1938'. Her (?) name and address in ink to the title page. These details also stamped to the front paste-down and blind stamped to the head of the front endpaper. Some light spotting to the fore-edges. A split to the front gutter - the front board remains very firmly attached. Bumps to the four board corners. A good to very good, signed presentation copy
