G.W. Carleton & Co. Used - Very Good. 1884. Decorated cloth. 4to. 739 pp. 11 plates. First edition. Modest shelf wear and mild scuffing to boards, with noticeable wear to head and tail of spine. Corners slightly bumped. Gilt stamped lettering and decoration clear and bright. Binding is solid. Previous owner's inscription to blank page following ffep. Some noticeable foxing to few initial pages, with text otherwise clean, bright if slightly toned, and unmarked. Altogether a copy in Very Good condition. (Subject: Books on Books.)
