One text leaf containing an illustration has also been cut out and is missing (pages 59-60, which had an illustration of a 20-point Wapiti Head on page 60). Inner hinges broken, with text block nearly completely separated from front board. Front free endpaper detached. No tears to the folding maps. ; xii, (1)-58, (61)-403 pages + plates + 1 leaf of "Press Opinions" + 3 folding maps in pocket at rear. Lacking the frontispiece and also lacking pages 59-60. With 75 of 77 illustrations. Some of the illustrations are full page plates, others are smaller in-text illustrations. Green buckram cloth boards with gilt lettering on spine and front board. Top page edges gilt. Page dimensions: 238 x 160mm. ; 8vo .
