About This Item
Folio, 59 pp. printed on heavy stock, publisher's green cloth with gilt titles and prussian coat of arms on cover. Imp: Julius Sittenfeld in Berlin, no publisher stated. Beautifully set, with generous margins to text pages. 14 plates in photogravure (engraved by Hermann Rückwardt, Berlin-Groß-Lichterfelde), all protected by tissue gards. 7 colour maps in total, one on two pages, three on double page fouldouts. Lithograph frontispice (by Bogdan Gisevius, Berlin) with gilt lettering and ornaments. The photogravures are of exceptional quality. Book front cover and spine are rubbed and show some faint soiling and scratches, and there's a small bump to the upper right corner of cover. Otherwise a fine copy, pages and illustrations are incredibly well preserved. We are happy to provide detailed pictures upon request.
Included: Der Elbe-Trave-Kanal, zur Eröffnungsfeier am 16. Juni 1900. 8vo, publisher's cloth with Jugendstil-decoration and gilt title on cover. 49 pp., many foldout plates in colour. Fine.
