Harper and Brothers, 1897-01-01. Hardcover. Acceptable. Complete set of 2 volumes published by Harper & Brothers, 1897. These volumes are in poor condition with the front hinge being open on both volumes. The top of the spine cover on Volume 1 is torn and almost separated from the spine. A couple of the end papers on Volume 1 are free of binding and tucked inside. Name written on front endpapers of both volumes, but no text markings are noted. A fold-out map of the north polar region is tucked into the back of Volume 1. The text blocks and illustrations are all in good condition, but the binding is poor on both volumes.
