(Melbourne: Gunn and Taylor: no date) Muir 3181 suggests 1944. An Australian Production No. 88. Pictorial wrappers (that is, flexible covers) plus pp. 20 (365 x 240 mm). Illustrated in strip or panel form, retelling the traditional tales and also, in full colour, 'Little Black Sambo'. An attractive 'The Nursery Alphabet' in full colour is also included, 'A Aladdin' etc. Gift inscription dated 1947 on verso of front wrapper. Spine rubbed and reinforced with clear tape; short clean fore-edge tears to most leaves; a very good copy.
