Berkeley: North Point Press. Very Good. 1989. First Edition; First Printing. Softcover. An Uncorrected Proof in yellow printed wrappers. A bookstore stamp to the inside front cover. Light soiling to the front cover, and creasing to the bottom corner. Set in Southern California in the late '50s and early '60s, a debut novel about a young woman, daughter of a schizophrenic, who struggles in the toils of family madness for a normal life. There were two versions of this proof as the author made significant changes to the original version. There was a later "Final Version", and this is the earlier issue.; 328 pages .
