Skilfully edited by Sir Grenfell Price, these selections from the journals kept by Cook on his three voyages in the Pacific are reissued to mark the 200th anniversary of his discovery of Australia in 1770. Rubbing of the back strip edges and book corners. Some flecking along the front spine gutter region. Very light age toning of the text block edges and pages. Rubbing of the dustwrapper edges and panels, particularly the rear with some fading of the back strip. Some age toning of the fold over panels and to the verso. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
