First Special Issue; Imp. 8vo; pp. 64; illustrated with 27 tipped in plates, bound in full dark brown leather, double gilt boarders and decoration to both boards, title in gilt on spine, silk page marker, in original illustrated buckram box with drawer, together with copy of prospectus and invitation to the launch, all in fine condition. Limited issue of 25 numbered copies in full leather this copy being number 11. The book details the introduction of the burin and lithographic stone to Melbourne and is the first published book on the subject. A Selection of engravings and lithographs, visually enhancing the well researched text.
