Blackwell & Ruja A3.1a. Russell was one of the principal founders of analytic philosophy and one of the twentieth century's most important thinkers in philosophy of language, logic, and philosophy of mathematics. Russell won the Nobel Prize and was also well-known as a pacifist and an advocate for numerous progressive causes. A very presentable copy of Russell's first primarily philosophical book, presaging his important work in logic and the philosophy of mathematics. A Very Good book with rubbing and light wear to the extremities, owner's name written on the front pastedown and stamped on the free front endpaper and half-title page.
