About This Item
Bureau of Natl Affairs Inc. Acceptable. 2014 updated second edition, Bloomberg BNA / The Bureau of National Affairs (Arlington, Virginia), 8 1/2 x 11 inches tall wire spiral bound paperback in tan printed covers, mixed pagination. Former law firm library copy, with lined out received stamp and call number label taped to front cover as well as a white label covering the residue from a card pocket removed from the verso of the rear cover as evidence of this. Moderate to heavy rubbing and edgewear to covers, with moderate creasing and tearing along spine. Moderate creasing to the title page and the first few pages, with a bit of tearing at the spiral perforations to a number of pages within. Despite these detractions, still an excellent reading / reference copy - otherwise clean, bright and unmarked - of this authoritative, up-to-date corporate legal reference. This 1996 second edition updated through January 2014. ~FF~ Examines the preparation of environmental impact statements. The portfolio discusses in detail the National Environmental Policy Act and the regulations promulgated by the Council on Environmental Quality to implement the statute. It covers pre-statement procedures, the content and format of the statement, responses to the statement, decision-making based on the statement, and the role that counsel for a private applicant should take in the statement process. Finally, the portfolio discusses aspects of NEPA litigation and touches briefly on NEPA's applicability when environmental impacts of a federal action are felt in other countries. Contents: I. The Environmental impact statement process; An Introduction; II. Pre-statement procedures; III. Preparation of the statement; IV. Post-statement procedures; V. Other requirements of NEPA and the regulations; VI. Litigation; VII. NEPA abroad; Table of worksheets; Bibliography.
