London: The Leadenhall Press. Good with no dust jacket. 1894. First Edition. Hardcover. KB19...vi, 181, 16 (ads) , sheet ad for Stickphast Paste. Grey/blue cloth over thin boards with black ruling, gilt and decoration, flat spine. Covers have some normal shelf wear, some rubbing at the corners, spine is sunned. Interior paper a little browned, some cracking at the title gutter but otherwise clean and unmarked. The author wrote on the supernatural, detectives and other entertaining subjects. In this early work, he turns to the English countryside. ; 12mo 7" - 7½" tall; 181 pages .
