Very Good. pp272 A fascinating guide to the west of England north of the Thames, from the Penines to the Welsh Marches, by topographic artist Sydney R Jones. Profusely illustrated with his drawings of the landscape and architecture of the Cotswolds, Shakespeare Country and the Wye Valley. Very good in green cloth with gilt titles and decoration, edges lightly spotted, in a good plus pictorial dust jacket, scuffed front panel, nicked and chipped to the edges and corners. Gift inscription "To Harold With admiration for the work he has done and in friendship. from David.... Christmas 1950". This book comes from the private collection of British Prime Minister Harold Wilson and his wife Mary which was recently dispersed at auction following the death of Mary Wilson aged 102 in 2016.
