Small stain on front edge of page block. black cloth boards have minor wear. The white jacket has a 1" x 2" chip at the top of the front panel, with a smaller chip at the bottom of the rear panel. Foreword by Duke Ellington, includes over 200 photographs, a list of birthdays, a basic collection of jazz records, glossary, list of jazz organizations, list of record companies, bibliography, and an index & directory; 360 pages. $10 price on jacket flap; no names or other marking in or on the book. A tight, square copy and uncommon in the first printing.
