London; George Newnes Limited, 1951., 1951. Hard Cover. FIRST EDITION. Octavo, pp. 248. Eight full page illustrations and vignette to title page by Bertram Prance. Publishers' grey cloth with maroon titles to spine and upper board and map endpapers by David Morton, in unclipped pictorial dust-jacket. Cover cloth lightly surface soiled, with minor wear at head of spine and corners very slightly bruised. Red top edge lightly sunned otherwise contents clean and bright, with no annotation or inscriptions. Jacket nicked and creased with loss at head of spine (approx 2cm x 1cm max) and minor loss at tail of spine. A very good copy in like jacket. Sixth title in the popular Lone Pine series. Scarce title, especially in the equally elusive jacket.
