About This Item
Branford, 1958. First edition. Hardcover. Very Good in Very Good DJ. First edition signed on the half title page "Beryl Dean, Dec. 3rd 1962". Very good + cloth hardcover shows a previous owner name at top of front end paper, along with bumping to corners where top corners are heavily bumped causing bumping to pages as well, in very good dust jacket showing light soil and edge wear including some light wrinkles along with closed tears and shallow open chipping at spine head. 258 pages illustrated in black & white. Still an attractive copy of this notable work from the legendary figure that "..was a leading exponent of modernist design in ecclesiastical embroidery, introducing an entirely new approach t o a field hitherto limited to a traditional Victorian style."
