Rome: Domenico de' Rossi, 1613 [ie 1699]. 1st Edition . Very Good. 15.5 x 11.5 inches (39 x 29 cm). Original copper engraving taken from Domenico De Rossi's 'Collectio Antiquitatum Urbis' c1699. This work contains re-engravings from the fourth part of 'Antiquae Urbis Splendor' originally published by Giacomo Lauro (between 1612 and 1628), plus a few later engravings by L.Cruyl. De Rossi had previously published 'Romanae Magnitudinis Monumenta' using scenes from the first three parts of 'Antiquae Urbis Splendor'. It appears that 'Collectio Antiquitatum Urbis' is the much scarcer work, WorldCat only locates 3 copies (Berlin, Dresden & Philadelphia - all incorrectly dated as 1622). This plate has some very light foxing and there is light creasing to the lower margin, engraving is very clean. Overall condition is Very Good. International postage will be less than the stated rate. Actual costs are Europe £11.55; USA £16.68; Oceania £17.50; Rest of World £15.75. A postage refund will be made after the order has been placed. Size: 15.5 x 11.5 inches (39 x 29 cm). Hardback. Printed pages: 1
