Scarce occult tract purporting to be written by an 18-year-old boy named Frederick Oliver who was living in Northern California when he learned that an ancient occult adept was trying to communicate through him. Over the period 1883-1886, this adept--who he came to know as "Phylos the Thibetan" transmitted his own story to the boy, detailing his life in two incarnations on Earth & on Venus, beginning approximately 12,000 years ago in Atlantis. First copyrighted in 1894 by Oliver, but not published until 1905 (by his mother) after his death, this is a 1964 edition with the copyright renewed by Health Research press in CA (First, thus), in 423 pages with scattered illustrations, ads for other books by this publisher in rear. White plastic spiral-bound softcover has yellow paper wrappers lettered in black. Binding is strong & straight, light soil to both covers, pages white. Some random pen marks (small checks, brackets) in margins on some pages; only 1 paragraph in Introduction shows any underlining.
