London: Sampson Low, Marston, Searle & Rivington, 1889. Hardcover. First Edition, First Impression. 5 x 7.5in. iv. 254pp.; 251pp. Publisher's cloth boards. Both volumes are in GOOD condition showing shelf rubbing of the edges with some fraying and loss, some toning and discoloration, a dent of the back board of Vol. 1, endpapers and paste-downs lightly toned, otherwise the bindings are strong and tight, the text is clean and unmarked, and the boards remain relatively distinct. As pictured.
