Paris: Devambez, 1917. SCOTT, Georges. Original Poster. Lithograph. Measures 45.5" x 30.5".<br/> <br/> The title of this French WWI poster translates to "For the flag! For victory!" French national emblem Marianne stands at the center of the composition, mid-battle cry, holding up a sword and a large, tattered French flag. Some chipping and surface dirt. Linen backed with small pin holes in corner. Georges Bertin Scott (1873 %u2013 1943) was a French war correspondent and illustrator for the French magazine L'Illustration during the early 20th century. His work was part of the painting event in the art competition at the 1928 Summer Olympics.<br/> <br/>
