London: Bell, 1952. First Edition. Hardcover. Fine/No Jacket. London, Bell, 1952. Octavo, xiv, 328 pages with 100 illustrations plus 32 pages of plates. Cloth very slightly marked to the spine and rear board; a fine copy without the dustwrapper. Inscribed on the flyleaf to "Hedley Marston with affectionate regards from Edward"; loosely inserted are two Royal Institute of Great Britain pamphlets by Salisbury (1938 and 1951 - the latter on West Australian Flora, inscribed "To H.M. from E.J.S.") and an autograph presentation note signed ("Edward"). From the estate of Dr Hedley Ralph Marston FRS, Chief of the CSIRO Division of Biochemistry and General Nutrition.
