About This Item
New York: Cosmopolitan, 1931. First Edition. A novel of high adventure in Alaska involving an embittered young surgeon who left his past behind to go to Alaska under and assumes someone’s identity. “A tale of of strong men grappling for their desire; of bitter hardship, daring hazard, and the peril that hovers over snow-packed trails, of a fright to the death in a blinding blizzard....” penciled ownership inscription. Very good in a very good dust jacket with a few tiny nicks and small tears. The front panel of the dust jacket is a striking color painting of bundled people trudging through the snow of the Alaskan wilderness.
