Small gilt figures on front cover, with gilt animal head on backstrip. 24cm. Ends of backstrip lightly rubbed. Corner tips frayed. Translated (and slightly condensed) by Nancy Bell. One of the most sought-after of the late 19th century works on East African hunting and exploration. We have also had this in brown cloth.
