San Antonio, Texas: The Naylor Company, 1973. First Edition First Printing . Hardcover. Very Good/Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. 8vo. 48 pages. Hardcover with a tan dust jacket. The jacket shows some wear, and there is a chip at the bottom edge of the jacket's rear panel. A sound copy with clean text. SIGNED by the author on the front flyleaf. The author writes of her family and father, who was a Methodist minister in the Southeast. The father, W. A. Betts was born in Blockersville,North Carolina in 1857 and graduated from UNC in 1880 (her grandfather, also a methodist minister, had met Robert E. Lee). The father was in Cabarrus County in the 1870s and after marriage moved to Charleston, South Carolina. The family also lived in Atlanta and eventually ended up in Texas.
