Bertholet" Collection of over 45 offprints generally relating to the history of art from the encyclopedia "Die Religion in Geschichte und Gegenwart", apparently selected and compiled by Alfred Bertholet as a presentation copy to Oskar Hagen. Alfred Bertholet (1868 - 1951) was a Swiss educator and writer. Hagen was a German art historian who founded the Art History Dept. at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He was also a musicologist who was responsible for the revival of interest in the operatic works of Georg Friedrich Handel.. Signed by Author. Second Edition. Hard Cover.
