London: Bell & Daldy, 1865. 4 vols. Bindings rubbed, minor loss to the head and tail of the spines. The interior has moderate foxing especially to the fly leaves and 1st few pages of each volume. Also, some folding plates are foxed. Tissue guards lacking. Still an attractive set of this remarkable diary of life in 17th Century England. All illustrations are present. Each volume has the book plates of former owners Irving Grinnell and Irving Bowdoin Kingsford. These men were the grandnephew and great grandnephew of Wahington Irving.
