Pan, 1958. Paperback. VG-. Pan G103 Tie-in to the 1959 George Stevens film with photo of Millie Perkins and Richard Beymer on the back cover. Foreword by Storm Jameson, four pages of B&W pictures. Corners bumped and creased; edge wear; chipping at spine; light soiling; small tears at top and base of spine. Upper right corner of front cover has a patch where the color has lifted, perhaps due to a sticker removal. (Please see photos!) Interior clean, with a couple of pages having been dogeared.
Synopsis
The Diary of a Young Girl is a book based on the writings from a diary written by Anne Frank while she was in hiding for two years with her family during the Nazi occupation of the Netherlands. The family was apprehended in 1944 and Anne Frank ultimately died of typhus in the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp. After the war, the diary was retrieved by Anne's father, Otto Frank.
