Lafayette, Indiana: Purdue Research Foundation, 1969. Staplebound. 44p., quarterly publication, 8.25x9.5 inches; b&w photos., wrappers somewhat unevenly toned and top right corner slightly curled, else in good condition. Debut issue of a journal of art criticism, education, and amusement aimed at industrial designers in professional and academic settings. Organ of the Purdue Research Foundation; founded in 1930, the outfit currently commercializes research outputs and acquires and manages intellectual and real property for the university. This first issue was sent free to a preselected group of individuals and institutions. Includes articles on designing the future city (heavily influenced by R. Buckminster Fuller) with middle schoolers in Berkeley, CA, the branding of Southern Illinois University, and a song, "Roam Home to a Dome," with lyrics by R. Buckminster Fuller set to the tune of "Home on the Range" (Chorus 2: "Roam home to a dome / No banker would back with a dime; / No mortgage to show / No payments to go / Where you dream, dwell and spend your own time").
