BINDING/CONDITION: dark blue boards, the top edge color also dark blue; severely rubbed along the front spine gutter, corners rubbed, rubbed at the spine ends, bringing the grade down to Good, the book is otherwise very good; no markings, no hinge play, text and text edges all clean; the jacket is slightly darkened at the spine, otherwise Very Good.. 8vo (about 8 inches tall) . Illustrated endpapers. Description: No artist credit given for either the jacket art or the endpaper illustrations; the endpapers are by Paul Laune, but I cannot find artist's name on the jacket art. An historical novel of Montreal and Eastern Canada in the early 1700s, while the area was still ''New France''. The children of some of the leading characters in the author's earlier novel, Heritage of the River are found in this story.
