Wonderful woodcut of a ship and the author being pulled in a cart by twin dogs. Old fold line, touch of foxing otherwise excellent condition. near fine David Parry on traveling from Liverpool on the Brig Crosby, to Quebec in Lower Canada feel through the ice and was trapped there for 2 days. He was discovered by two hunters and returned to the ship where both of his legs were amputated by the Carpenters and Sailors. The two illustrations show the ship and Parry in a cart being pulled by a dog team. Both of his legs are missing. The broadside was to be sold to render assistance to the poor Parry. I believe that the event was nothing more than a scam. 1822
